Families participating in Summer Academy, Extended School Year (ESY), or the Summer Enrichment Program at Hemmerling Elementary School can now access important summer program information online.

More than 50 graduates from Banning Adult Education, Banning Independent Study School, and New Horizon High School crossed the stage on Thursday, May 28, during the Coombs Alternative Education Center Commencement Ceremony at the Banning High School Athletic Stadium. The ceremony celebrated students whose educational journeys reflect resilience, determination, and the power of perseverance.
Banning Unified School District is offering a variety of Summer Learning Opportunities for 2026, including Summer Academy, Extended School Year (ESY), and the Summer Enrichment Program. Families can now learn more about program dates, locations, transportation, meals, and enrollment information online.
Banning Unified School District will provide free meals to children and teens throughout the summer through the 2026 Summer Meal Program. Meals will be available at multiple community and school locations across Banning and Cabazon.
